Mastering the kip and working on “efficiency” have pushed mastering strict movements (especially in the handstand and muscle up). However, the strict movements (pull up, muscle up, handstand and pistol) can serve as a benchmark of strength as well as a sign of joint health and proper mobility.
The trick? Patience.
Taking the time, setting progress goals along the way, and just sticking with it will pay off. Oh, and make you a better CrossFitter.
