CrossFit San Jose is staffed with CrossFit certified personal coaches and trainers dedicated to helping our clients achieve their fitness goals. Don’t worry, CrossFit is universally scalable. This means we will scale the workout up or down to meet your fitness needs and goals no matter what your age or fitness level.
We also provide both personal and small-group training.

CrossFit San Jose began serving the greater Bay Area in 2004 (one of the first 13 affiliates) out of the American Kickboxing Academy under Mike Malloy. Originally aimed at training mixed martial artist (such a Cain Velasquez) and military Special Forces, CrossFit San Jose applied Greg Glassman’s balanced approach of high intensity workout combined with weighted movements and high skill work. Within a year the popularity of the CFSJ training method forced a move to a 1500 square foot location in Campbell.
Over the next four years, Mike and his partners developed a small but loyal following, packing the house for the 5 and 6 am and pm wods, but over time Mike’s service in the Air National Guard made it harder to devote the time he needed to the gym. In January of 2010, Mike and his partners passed the reigns to 5 friends and CFSJ members, and with in a year CFSJ moved to its current 11,000 square foot where it currently partners with RockTape, offering 13 classes daily in four different programs to give the Bay Area the best in health and fitness services.
